                              Please join us at our March Open Session, part of our monthly Evenings of Psychodrama series. It will be held on Friday, March 19 at 7:30pm at Boughton Place, 150 Kisor Road, Highland, NY. This month's psychodrama will be on the theme of Finding Balance and will be directed by Rebecca Walters, MS, TEP, LCAT, LMHC.

                              Open sessions are 2 to 2 1/2 hour psychodrama sessions offered by certified psychodramatists to the general public. You may participate as little or as much as you want. Reservations are not necessary!

                              How do we create the balance we need to grow and flourish? To connect with others and to spend time much needed time alone, to express compassion for others and for oneself, to give and to take, to dance and to be still, to be busy and to be at rest, to work and to play. 

                              This is an opportunity for community members as well as students and professionals in the fields of mental health, counseling, human services, creative arts therapy, medicine, psychology/sociology and education to learn about and participate in psychodrama first-hand. Participation is optional - Participants can always choose their level of active involvement. Open sessions are for everyone ages 16 and up. No reservation necessary.


                              About the Director: Rebecca Walters, MS, TEP, LCAT, LMHC, is the co-director of the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute. She has utilized psychodrama and expressive arts therapy with individuals and groups of children, adolescents and adults since 1976. She has been at Four Winds Hospital, Katonah, NY since 1985, and is currently Director of Child and Adolescent Psychodrama Services. Rebecca is a Fellow of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP), and is the president of the Hudson Valley Chapter of the ASGPP. She is certified as a Trainer, Educator and Practitioner by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy. 

                              About the Location: Boughton Place is the home of the original Moreno Psychodrama Stage. It is located at 150 Kisor Road in Highland, which is next to New Paltz and the beautiful Shawangunk mountains. It is less than 1 hour and 15 minutes from Albany and Westchester County, NY, and from Sharon and Danbury, CT. It is located 1 1/2 hours north of New York City and Bergen County, NJ - And an equal distance from Great Barrington, MA. Boughton Place is easily accessible by public transportation.                         The Moreno psychodrama theater is a historic space with a lot of open room and movable seating at Boughton Place in Highland, NY. It is available for workshops, meetings and classes by the day, half day or evening. Accommodates up to 49 people, and up to 12 overnight guests. Contact Lynn Meeker at
