Subject: 2010 National Association for Drama Therapy (NADT) Request for Conference Proposals is Now Open!

Dear Friend of Drama Therapy,

On behalf of NADT and the 2010 Conference Committee, I am happy announce that our online system for receiving your conference proposals is now open! The conference is scheduled for November 4 - 7, 2010 in Evanston, Illinois, just outside of Chicago.

Proposals are now welcome; our deadline for submissions is February 28, 2010, 12 midnight Eastern Time. Please note that this is a FIRM deadline, so plan accordingly.

Our conference theme this year is "Pushing the Boundaries: Contemplating the Liminal Space in Drama Therapy."

Please see the NADT website for a description of this year's theme: http://www.nadt.org.

With IYS Corp. as our Office Manager, we are developing new, user-friendly online systems for NADT business. I think you will find our new conference proposal system very clear and easy to use.

Simply go to the link below, or click the proposal link on the NADT website's home page. You will have a chance to register in the system, complete a personal profile (with bio), and then, when you are ready, log onto a questionnaire form that allows you to describe your proposal in detail. As a primary presenter, you will have an opportunity to name up to six co-presenters per proposal, and enter their email addresses.

Please note that last year's presenter profiles have been deleted to keep the system up-to-date. This means that everyone, including those who entered proposals last year, will have to recreate a new profile for 2010. So, even if you used this system last year, you will have to use the "New to Site?" link and recreate a profile on your first visit this year. Once you have created a profile, the system will email you your unique logon ID and password. You will be able to change the password when you return to the site.

Co-presenters will be invited by email to open their own accounts and enter their own contact information and bios. They may view your joint proposal at any time, but only the primary contact will be able to edit or update it.

You will be able to submit multiple proposals, and co-presenters for one proposal may be primary presenters for their own submissions. All proposals will be automatically acknowledged by email.

Although it is not necessary to compose or attach a separate proposal document as in the past, we strongly recommend that you draft the following elements of your proposal in advance and copy/paste them into the proper online fields:

Your mini-biography, 35 words maximum. Note that the system will not accept more than 35 words.

50-word maximum abstract. Again, the system will not accept more than 50 words.

250-word description.

The Proposal System link is: http://www.xcdsystem.com/nadt2010.

Thank you! The Program Committee is looking forward to reviewing your proposals!

Best Regards,

Lisa Merrell, MA, RDT, LCAT
NADT Vice President
