Dear Colleagues,
Tell me more about your listserves. Who is included? Does one need to register? How many people in each of your listserves? I make an effort to stay abreast of developments in the field, but I hadn't known that there were listserves @yahoogroups in the UK, Feptogrouptalk, brazil... So it would help if someone would make a clear announcement as to these resources:
For example: Several other psychodrama listserves have started other than grouptalk List at grouptalkweb.org
1. Grouptalk began (when, around 1995?) mainly in the USA, but there are now many others participating---about 400? Its manager is Tom Treadwell.
2. The International Association of Group Psychotherapy & Group Process also has a listserve. Who is managing this listserve now? It used to be Manuela Maciel.
(I've known about these two and been a member of them.)
3. What's the deal on the other three? How many people belong, when did they start, who are the listserve managers?
It would be good for certain announcements to be passed along to all these groups?
It takes effort just to keep up with these things, and what strikes me is that the reciprocal process---announcing and letting people know about what's happening in your parts of the world---what books are being written, articles published, local conferences, new institutes founded, etc.---well, I don't know if people are adequately taking the initiative to let others know what they're doing.
Perhaps it seems like too much effort, there's always the "just too busy" excuse, perhaps folks aren't sure that there's anyone out there who cares and wants to know---a symptom of low-to-medium levels of tele and group cohesion.
What do you think of this? Warmly, Adam Blatner, Texas www.blatner.com/adam/
(for example, do people in the other listserves know about my listings of books, many papers on sociometry and psychodrama, photo directory of psychodramatists, etc.
Are there other websites that could carry useful articles, which could be translated into or from English?
Just some thoughts

Subject: [IAGP:PSYCHODRAMA] Krakow-Auschwitz Project
Dear Colleagues,
An announcement coming from Jaacov Naor. /warmly Judith Teszáry
KRAKOW-AUSCHWITZ
PSYCHODRAMA PROJECT
TRACES OF THE HOLOCAUST IN THE PRESENT MONDAY, JULY 5 - SATURDAY,JULY
10, 2010
This project deals with the inter-relations between two parts within us: the
aggressor and the victim. This is a professional psychodrama training
process. It is a dynamic active unmasking group process using Psychodrama
and Sociodrama in order to encounter the traces of the Holocaust in our
present life. This experience may bring an encounter with the "other" and
with the "different". It may not lead to reconciliation but can heal some of
the wounds and open a dialogue. It is open to international students,
professionals and others who are interested in the theme. No prior
experience in psychodrama is necessary. We chose the "Galicia Jewish Museum"
in Krakow and "The Educational-Encounter Center" in Oswiecim as our place of
working because of its symbolic powerful reminder of the Past in the
Present.
This event is organized by the PSYCHODRAMA INSTITUTE OF EUROPE, PIfE. The
language will be English with different translations. The leaders of this
workshop are living example of the fruits of this dialogue. The directors
are:
HILDE GOETT- Dipl. Soz.Pad. Born in Romania as a granddaughter of SS members
whose wives were deported to Siberia. She is certified Trainer and
Supervisor(DGSv) of Psychodrama for the "Psychodrama Institute of Europe" (
PIfE) and serves as its Chairwoman. She is a Children and Adolescent
Therapist, focusing on trauma and violence.
YAACOV NAOR- MA, CAGS, TEP. Born in Germany in a DP camp to parents who are
both Holocaust survivors. Founder and Director of ISIS ISRAEL- Psychodrama
and Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy Center in Tel Aviv. Certified
Therapist, Trainer and Supervisor in Psychodrama. Leader of dialogue groups
between Israelis and Palestinians.
