Happy New Year dear Psychodrama Colleagues.
I have here a little present for those who are interested in trying
something a little different with their music and their capacity to
feel sentimental, romantic and full of life. I have written a blog on
some seriously different ways to listen to music. I am talking the
type of music that has recognisable lyrics, is in the vein of lets say
popular music. It can work on music that is current or fairly old. It
starts out considering and old song. This type of listening requires a
certain type of capacity to role reverse so I guess it has some
relationship with the purposes of this list.
I have crafted the blog in this form as a type of community Xmas
present. I have written it into my blog on my web site. Click on the
quote for the link. The blog is called "New ears for listening or:
Music, deep feeling and finding that I was never lost"
"Some years back, when I and my partner Diz were courting, she told me
about a remarkable thing that she did. As we were listening to Joe
Cocker sing "You are so beautiful to me" she told me that as she is
listening, she is singing the song to herself."
I hope some of you enjoy it.
Cheers from down here
