  2009 ELECTION RESULTS
  Fern Cramer-Azima, PhD, Chairperson of the Nomanating Committee (2009)
  and Frances Bonds-White, Ed.D, President, IAGP (2006-2009) are pleased to
  announce the results of the 2009 election. 

  Officers/Executive Committee 
  The officers elected to serve during the 2009-2012 term are Ivan Urlic, PhD, Croatia, 
  Secretary; Heloisa Fleury, M.A., Brazil, Treasurer; and David Gutmann, PhD, France, President-elect. 
  Jorge Burmeister, M.D., Switzerland, Spain, President 2009-2012 and 
  Frances Bonds-White, Ed.D, USA, Immediate Past President will join them to make
  up the Executive Committee of IAGP for 2009-2012. 

  Consultative Assembly and Sections Chairpersons for 2009-2012 
  Ingrid Stahmer, MSW, Germany; will be the Chairperson of the Consultative Assembly 
  of Organizational Affiliates. The incoming Section Chairpersons are as follows: 
  Family Therapy: Nikos Stathopoulos, M.D., Greece 
  Group Analysis: Giovana Cantarella, PhD, Italy. 
  Organizational Consultancy: Gregorio Armananzas Ros, M.D. Spain 
  Psychodrama: Maurizio Gasseau, M.D., Italy 
  Transcultural: Maria van Noort, PsyD. D., Netherlands. 

  Returning General Board Members 
  The slate of returning Board Members was approved by the members. Those people are 
  Bonnie Buchele, Ph.D., USA; Eva Fahlström-Borg, MA, Sweden; Pirkko Hurme, MA, Finland; 
  Lilian Klein-Bicas, Ph.D., Mexico; Douglas S.G. Kong, MD, Singapore; 
  Jaimie Ondarza Linares, MD, Italy; Celia Riskin, PhD, Argentina; William Roller, MA, USA; 
  Teresa von Sommaruga-Howard, Dipl Arch (UK); Cecelia Winkelman, PhD, Australia. 

  New General Board Members 
  The following people were elected to take office as new general board members: 
  Yojiro Isoda, MD, PHD, Japan; Esther Stone, MSSW, USA; Sue Daniel, MA, TEP, Australia; 
  Ursula Hauser Grieco, Ph.D., Costa Rica; Pablo de Carvalho Godoy Castanho, MA, Brazil: 
  Isil Bulut, Ph.D., Turkey; Hsien-Hsien Chiang, RN, MSN, Taipei, Republic of China; 
  Cristina Martinez-Taboada Kutz, Ph.D., Spain; Catherine Mela, MD, PhD, Greece; and 
  Dena Baumgartner, PhD, TEP, USA. 
  All of the newly elected and returning members of the governance will take office on 
  August 28, 2009 at the meeting of the General Assembly of the Membership to be held 
  at the International Conference in Rome, Italy.  
  We would like to thank the following people who ran for office and were not elected:    Haim Weinberg, PhD; Jacob Gershoni, LSCW, TEP; Ethel Tillinger, BA; Gunilla Barrskog,  BSC; Elaine Sachnoff, PhD; Tal Schwartz, MA; Cecilia Orozco Lopez, MA and Anastassios Koukis, PhD.  We hope that all of them will be active in IAGP in order to become better known to the membership  and will be willing to stand for office again.
