This group may be an important frontier for cross-professional fertilization, for advertising for future ASGPP or IAGP or other conferences. http://ieata.org/index.html
Moreno wanted his approach to transcend the realm of psychodrama or psychodramatic group therapy. Also talk therapy---though he wanted progress in any kind of group work, any kind of arts therapy, anything that was experiential, action-oriented, or even that explored other areas. He wanted sociometry to get beyond psychodrama and psychotherapy, and also role playing to be applied in many contexts.
I think he would have been pleased to hear about how drama and improv theatre is being used in business today---and there are whole organizations exploring this. I think he would have been excited to hear about other organizations devoted to understanding and promoting creativity---and our organizations should participate in outreach to them.
What other groups should we be more active in reaching out to? Drexel University has an active art therapy program, and also a program for promoting creativity---and it's there in Philadelphia. A chance again for active outreach.
Just some ideas.
