Lets talk about trauma!

I am here in Indonesia for my third day and am waiting for the large conference to begin tonight.There are health care workers, psychologists, counselors, pastoral counselors and group workers coming to learn Souldrama here for three days. I am keynote speaker and presenter and then I will go on to the university. There are over 13 islands here that will be represented and the conference is about how to give hope to all those who have been traumatized.More than 250 people will be learning Souldrama, action methods and group work.The attendees are very anxious to learn how to bring hope to their people. This is a third world country and 99 percent muslim.Our car is checked for bombs and the prayers said from the mosques wake us at 3 in the morning.Although our resort is safe, it may not be so outside the resort where I will teach.So I am glad you are talking about trauma, as this is where it is right now.The head Muslim terrorist was just killed recently and now all is quiet and a bit fearful.And yet there is a wonderful feeling of hope and wanting to learn psychodrama and new methods for healing.Any volunteers besides me?
