Now is the time to warm up to the role of nominating people for an ASGPP award to be given
at the 2010 conference in mid-April in Philadelphia. (You must be a member to receive an
award.)
Please consider letting others know if you would like to be recognized. You can do
this tactfully with someone in your social network, or back-channel to me. Begin to
prepare a kind of resume or summary of relevant activities---or suggest that the person
you want to nominate do so. Don't go for a complete resume, but rather edit it a bit to
emphasize the elements.
Check on the ASGPP website membership sub-section about the awards and the
criteria for those awards: http://www.asgpp.org/html/awards.html

(If you think you may be due for an award, this is no time for false modesty. Let
someone know and give them the "ammunition" they need, including the details of address,
etc., as on the application form. Make it easy for them to help you.)

This is a good time to get this telic energy flowing, so think of others who have
given above and beyond in some way.

We have a new awards chairman, Jack Shupe, of Bellingham, Washington. Let's give him and
his committee some material to work with. (If your nominee doesn't get selected, try again
the following year!)

Please pass this along to your networks who aren't on grouptalk! Warmly, Adam Blatner
