Work in Prison and Sexual Offenders
I've being working with clients with Psycho-sexual issues for 11 years using
Psychodrama and 3d Simulation Method Play of Life See article:
http://www.neuro-learning.com/articles/Sexual%20boundary%20case%20study.pdf
and more recently with inmates in prisons with the Kairos program in
Australia see testimony:
http://www.neuro-learning.com/testimonials/T_Prison_Y_ZIegler.html and
http://www.neuro-learning.com/videos/pol_Kiribati.html by a New Zealander in
Kiribati working with offenders.
We've found that the 3d Simulation method, using specific techniques and
role dynamics have been a breakthrough in the process of behavioural
modification. You can see in the following link how we believe the method
works based on neuro-physiology: See PowerPoint in this page:
http://www.neuro-learning.com/other_pages/play_of_life.html
All the best

Regarding fees!
The system I use is free for people who had attended my workshops or are in
training with us.
I'm looking at ways to make it available to everyone.
Would it be possible to organise a Trial Webminar so we can test ways of
doing this? We nee ot find the right time to do it too, I live in
Australia!!
ALSO, Eric, could you send me some information about Sleep Paralysis? Thanks
Carlos

RM,
I had the same question and here is what the media folks told me ysteday.
Their first film covered the issue of sleep paralysis. It has been a big
hit. It's a documetary style that features people spaking about their
experience. There are two themes that run through it pretty cteadily, trauma
and spiritual crisis. They have doc's from Harvard and U-Penn, me and even
some spiritualists who discuss the disorder from various perspectives.
In talking with them, I have described experiential therapies as a potential
therapy for those with the disorder. They will do all the taping and
promotion and broadcasting for free baecause they want to bring moe people
to their site. They are also asking for a portion of proceeds rom either
conference fees or sales of the DVD etc., if "we" would focus the first
project on treating clients with sleep paralysis issues. That's as far as
we've goe in the discussion. The broader conference themes can be about
whatever WE choose.
Thoughts?

This is a very good idea!
I've created a Distance Education system with supervision via SKYPE and is
working well.
I have a session using 3d Simulating method, Play of Life in the net
http://www.neuro-learning.com/videos/workrelations_vid.html students of our
course receive other sessions too and analyse the process following a step
by step guide. They then ask questions regarding techniques and
applications. The theory is also in the web so they can learn remotely.
Happy to help in any way I can.

Dear Eric,
Here's another wrinkle. The therapists would have an opportunity to
preview the films and would then have some way, perhaps voice over or
pausing the playback to allow the directors to explain what they
doing at key moments and how, what they did, flowed from the theory
they had propounded at the original the roundtable.

Jim,
You've got it. There would be pre-production (round table talking about the
theory and such). Production, actually aping a session. and Post-production,
editing, voice overs etc.
thoughts?

Hey !
?
Thanx for the quick response. There are lots of ways we can move forward.
?
I have a dream : ).
?
We get some of "our" best together in one place for a roundtable discussion.
Film it. Then we follow those same folks "home" and film them in
action.?This becomes the?axis around which we build our on-line conference.
?
The conference could include:
?
- asynchronous viewing of "film."
- synchronized key-note speaker. (We all watch at the same time, live) Of
course it will be available for viewing anytime a well.
- Listserve-type discussions using Skype or other c-me-c-you technology.
- Posting of songs, artwork etc. from other experiential therapies.
- Maybe have some other talkng points etc.
?
We then repeat the process.
?
A cohort group gather for a roundtable discussion. It is filmed. A group is
then filmed. A key note speaker is "found" and we have another conference.
?
What are some of your ideas??

?
This is my first time chiming in to the group on this listserve. I do follow
the discussions with great interest and yet feel utterly detached as I live
and work in rural Maine. That said, I am fascinated with the topic of making
continuing education more accessible. In a past incarnation, I was in radio
broadcasting?and video-production. I am currently pursuing a doctorate in
health education with a focus on adult ed. I intend to marry the two.
?
When I think about the future of adult ed, a vision of a multi-stage,
cross-continental?production comes up for me. Last year, Al Gore coordinated
such a multi-media?event for Earth Day. Speeches, music, short films all
co-occurring and broadcasted via satellite.

What if?scholars, from all over,?could present locally?but broadcast
globally?

Dear Colleagues,
How much are we willing to stay stuck in our conserve, a conference
structure that no longer meets the needs of the larger community to hear,
learn, grow with our method? ?We keep the same format, the same awards

An Introduction to
DYNAMIC THEATREC
The Drama of Life and Community

What is Dynamic Theatre?
Dynamic Theatre is the opportunity to explore through 'acting-out' the
various stories that run through our individual lives and that of the
communities in which we live and work today. We have a relationship with
everything and everyone we come into contact with, these relationships can
be easygoing or cause us continuous problems, by playing out through Dynamic
Theatre we can begin to understand what is the underlying issue we have with
a situation or with a person. It is not necessary to be or have any kind of
acting experience, just the willingness to participate as both performer and
audience. Someone tells a story or moment from their life, be it a business
issue, a personal problem or health condition, and then chooses players to
act out the different roles, and then watches as their story is immediately
recreated and given artistic shape and coherence.
Mark Wentworth lives in Lisbon, Portugal and has been working and studying
personal development for 20 years, his background is based in Colour
Psychology, Deep Memory Process and Shamanism. Mark is the founder and
principal of Colour for Life, a training school for transformational colour
therapy and personal development. He created Dynamic Theatre 5 years ago by
bringing together a unique blend of Psychodrama, systemic constellations and
Shamanism. Mark has presented Dynamic Theatre in Europe, Middle East, UK and
US, as well as sharing it at various world conferences which promote and
support the world community.

Yes, I refer to therapists, but we also have a course, The Art of Living for
everyone: <http://www.neuro-learning.com/pdfs/The%20Art%20of%20Living.pdf>
http://www.neuro-learning.com/pdfs/The%20Art%20of%20Living.pdf . We?re
planning to make this available through the net too. I believe that
Psychodrama principles (
<http://www.neuro-learning.com/articles/a_counsel_mentor.html> 3d Simulation
Method ?Play of Life ) should be common knowledge and practice for
everyone.

Regarding fees!
The system I use is free for people who had attended my workshops or are in
training with us.
I?m looking at ways to make it available to everyone.
Would it be possible to organise a Trial Webminar so we can test ways of
doing this? We nee ot find the right time to do it too, I live in
Australia!!
ALSO, Eric, could you send me some information about Sleep Paralysis? Thanks

RM,
I had the same question and here is what the media folks told me ysteday.

<http://www.neuro-learning.com/videos/workrelations_vid.html>
http://www.neuro-learning.com/videos/workrelations_vid.html students of our
course receive other sessions too and analyse the process following a step
by step guide. They then ask questions regarding techniques and
applications. The theory is also in the web so they can learn remotely.
Happy to help in an
y way I can.

Dear Eric,
Here's another wrinkle.

Production, actually=2
0aping a session. and Post-production,
editing, voice overs etc.
thoughts?

Dear Eric,
Here's another wrinkle. The therapists would have an opportunity to preview
the films and would then have some way, perhaps voice over or pausing the
playback to allow the directors to explain what they doing at key moments
and how, what they did, flowed from the theory they had propounded at the
original the roundtable.
Jim
Hey !
?
Thanx for the quick response. There are lots of ways we can move forward.
?
I have a dream : ).
?
We get some of "our" best together in one place for a roundtable discussion.
Film it. Then we follow t
hose same folks "home" and film them in
action.?This becomes the?axis around which we build our on-line conference.
A group
is
then filmed. A key note speaker is "found" and we have another conference.
?
What are some of your ideas??
Eric

Hi all,
?
When I think about the future of adult ed, a vision of a multi-stage,
cross-continenta
l?production comes up for me. Last year, Al Gore coordinated
such a multi-media?event for Earth Day. Speeches, music, short films all
co-occurring and broadcasted via satellite.
?
What if?scholars, from all over,?could present locally?but broadcast
globally?
?
Thoughts?

I just got an email from a long time member of our soci
ety telling me, in
response to my post, that she will not be attending the conference, that she
had to cancel her workshop, that the $1000. it would cost to get there, stay
there, be there was now unaffordable. ?She is about to receive an award from
our organization, and cannot attend. ?What more do we need to realize our
structure, location, format is keeping people from us??
We are stuck - mired if you will - in a conference structure, place and
timing that is not allowing us to grow. ?And what's painful, for me, is our
method is one of the most needed.?? I have not fantasy about why "people
don't change" as Adam suggests. ?I am an activist, spiritual at the core and
I am putting out the challenge we form a small group to redesign the
conference to advance the conserve. ?If we don't, we stay where we are, in
the decline.?? Best,?? Ed

????? I do support building bridges with related organizations, and recently

????? Second, you seem to be implying that we model our conference on

Dear Colleagues,
How much are we willing to stay stuck in our conserve, a conference
structure that no longer meets the needs of the larger community to hear,
learn, grow with our method? ?We keep the same format, the same awards
dinner for the same selected people who can afford to attend, the same
on-going structures that frankly are becoming stale. ?A recent letter by
Zerka to the President and the Council has=2
0called for us to grow. ?Yet what
I continue to hear is fear, resistance to take a leap. ?So here's the
challenge: ?Read the enclosed and see what we could offer to the world -
with the will, creativity, and drive to bring our method to the world in a
way that grows us beyond the conserve our conference has become.
Here's an example:best,Ed
