The Group Psychologist

A newsletter of Division 49, Group Psychology & Group Psychotherapy, of
the American Psychological Association

Submissions for brief reports and manuscripts are now being accepted for
the Summer and Fall 2009 issues of The Group Psychologist. The deadline
for summer submissions June 1, 2009 and fall, October 1, 2009.

We are looking for articles by students, along with early, middle, and
late career group psychologists’ thoughts, experiences, and dreams.  Put
those thoughts in writing and submit them!

Suggested article length is 2,000 – 2,500 words, submitted in MS Word
format.  Submit articles for consideration to Tom Treadwell, Newsletter
Editor, at ttreadwe at mail.med.upenn.edu.  Please also include a brief
author biography and high quality photograph (jpg or tiff formats only).

Some potential topic areas for brief reports and manuscripts include:
1.	Communication & decision-making groups
2.	College/University counseling groups
3.	Group socialization, intergroup relations
4.	Management and leadership, productivity, organizational stress and health
5.	Organizational development, team building, and team composition
6.	Mindfulness mediation groups – ‘depression, health, stress reduction,
anxiety groups’
7.	All modalities in group psychotherapy, mutual-support groups,
psycho-educational groups
8.	Sport-therapy groups
9.	Groups that provide individuals with social support
10.	Family dynamics
11.	Group art therapy and interpersonal learning groups
12.	Private Practice Groups
