Hi Anne,
Thank you for the information about George's death, and for Irene's address.
I was quite sad to learn of both George's and Mort's deaths on the same
day. I don't have much access to men in the psychodrama world and I much
appreciated these two gentlemen. You mentioned the San Francisco annual
conference (2006). They were my bookends -- 4 days pre-conference with
George (and you, Donna & our group) and a day post-conference with Mort and
Dorothy. I was quite blessed.
Warmly, Ed

On February 28, George McDermott, MD, TEP from Barrie, Ontario passed away,
having suffered from graft versus host disease following what was thought to
be a successful bone marrow transplant last July. George and his wife Irene
immigrated to Canada from Scotland where they had a wonderfully successful
practice. They were both majorly involved in the ASGPP meeting in 2000 in
Toronto, and last attended our San Francisco meeting. George was an
enthusiastic and talented psychodramatist. The collective of students and
trainers from the Toronto Centre, as well as many of his friends among the
psychodrama community worldwide, are grieving this loss.
The funeral Mass was held at St. Mary's Church on March 4.
