Dear Ed,
I noticed your dilemma with the no's and was reminded to the group
focal conflict model by Lieberman and Whitaker both of whom I
understand knew JL Moreno and Zerka. I am not sure if you work with
the model in the States, but it is one of the group work models used
in the Australia and New Zealand psychodrama training institutes.
Basically it suggests that you must take account of the no's in order
to progress the yes's. To which I often say "Damn!"
The model also suggests that the no's are intimately connected to the
yes's which is obvious because if we take away the yes then the no
vanishes. Anyway, rather than go on about it here where others may
know more than me I made a blog which you and others may be interested
called "Making changes in organisations" from this model's point of
view. I also have a teaching article available at the students area
that some may be interested in.
Cheers from over here
