A Challenge to the ASGPP

To add my two cents. Asgpp is the only conference I have gone to in years that still makes presenters pay their own conference fees. Most waive their fees but some also pay a small honorarium and even hotel for their most valued presenters, such as those that are receiving awards. O don't know who is not coming due to finances that is receiving an award that Ed mentions, though I am sure we will see who that is at the awards dinner, but I will say the cost was a consideration for me, another award winner as well.

Luckily my airfare is covered as it could be included in my ticket to china n actually made it a lower international airfare. And I only paid to register for the day I am giving my workshop, ridiculous as I believe that was to have to do. I will also stay at a different hotel to save money and will only come on sat to see friends and attend awards dinner, which again I find it insulting I have to pay to attend.

But pay I did as that is the conserve n I do want to support asgpp as it continues to struggle financially yet one more year.....an old and ongoing story for at least a decade now.
