         Begins by noting  Moreno's pioneering work at the Hudson School for Girls in Upstate New York. Leads from this root to the burgeoning field of social network analysis, a substantial subgroup of social sciences. It's a pretty fair brief review of the field so far.
           I confess that I become lost fairly quickly in the jargon and abstractions of the later article and would benefit from an elucidation from one more familiar with this approach. My own grounding is in picturing situations and asking how certain ideas would change the way people actually relate to each other. Anyway, I thought I'd mention it.
