clicker as sociometry

Article on NPR about modern technology, new tool, "clicker," to give feedback quickly, even if your face as seen by teacher and others is blank. The feedback yes/no, or 1.2.3.4. etc. can be adapted, it seems to me.
Another idea: I fantasize compiling a book published less expensively via www.lulu.com or www.iuniverse.com etc. that has old and useful articles that people want to have their students read.
Or a group of trainers who would act as consulting editors to suggest which have been the most useful supplementary readings in rough order of priority.
It seems to me that (1) much easier to scan-on papers than before.
(2) there might be authors and publishers who would give permission (as the articles were published 30 plus years ago)
(3) Getting permission could be easier than thought.
I'm doing other projects but would be willing to coach and / or provide materials, papers to scan on, etc., if someone was up for doing some work.
A book might make for a small profit in royalties for one who undertakes this kind of project.
