Adam, I think it is very important to give reference to the emerging field of interpersonal neurobiology (see ASGPP website, under Library, and the article by Tian Dayton) and references to Daniel J. Siegel, MD, neurobiologist and psychiatrist. His very articulate presentation of brain research which support all things sociometric is a real boon to psychodramatists. Ann Hale

  Subject: sociometry theory

Dear All, I have continued to find new horizons in the realm of sociometry, to be more deeply impressed with how it is dealing with a depth psychology domain---although that domain reaches beyond intra-psychic dynamics to include interpersonal and group dynamics.

For example, I dashed off some ideas that were part of a response to a friend who wondered if he'd been responding with sufficient frequency to my emails (he had). What is that sense of balance between people? If you'd like to read a couple of pages of rambling speculations and comment, I would really like to hear back what you think, as I'm still building my ideas.

Meanwhile the summer solstice is approaching (June 21) and from then on the days (in the Northern Hemisphere) get shorter and we're heading to winter. I tell myself that here in the heat of Texas summer. (smile).
             Hope your lives are good.

Incidentally, for those who might be interested, I just gave a lecture on the history of comic books, with a focus on the controversy in the early 1950s that led to my mom throwing out my boxes of comics. I'm still working on it, but posting this in three webpages with lots of pictures at http://www.blatner.com/adam/cartoons/comicbooks/history.html
