I love this story-thanks for sharing it Marcia. Things do continue to always have a mystery and a reason somehow. Take a look at this picture over the chart for the workshop I just did in Greece-who can explain this "heart of light?" that happened on the Isle of the Madonna? I did not put it there over the Souldrama chart-it is positioned right over unconditional love Blessings Connie

Brave Addendum::: the next year, after grandpa fled Kiev because of the gunshot, in 1907, 200,000 or more Jews were slaughtered by the Russians. They told me in this in Moscow. If my grandfather had stayed and not fled, most probably he would have been killed. We wouldn't have been born. So, not only is the horse responsible for our being American, but probably, he unwittingly saved our lives. Could that be "horsepower?" Love mammasita. Brave. ------ SMS ------ To: 001 804 245 4006 Sent: 5 Jun 2009 00:24 Subject: Your great grand parents, a story for Jackson, and Poppy. ( An artist and a psychotherapist. The best of Marcia and Ken. Poppy is coming to the IAGP Congress in Rome in August with her mamma and over 1000 people.) The story:: Your great grand parents, my mother's family, come from Kiev, when the Ukraine was part of Russia. They lived here so these are, in fact, kind of my/our relatives. Rich and wise people. Financially, poor as church mice. A psychiatrist makes 90 Euros a month. My translator, a. clever, young psychiatrist, has to do extra jobs, translating, to pay his rent. His father, a dermatologist and venerologist, (specialist in sexually transmitted diseases) makes 100 Euros a month. George, the son, has left psychiatry because of no future. He works as a therapist and translator. Great guy. I brought him cointreau, cognac and Belgian chocolate. He likes them. We celebrated my birthday with Crimean red champagne, in English champagne glasses , potatoes, sour cream, fresh dill, fresh tomatoes and cucunbers, from a fabulous market, chicken /garlic cutlets, salad, with deicately flavored onions, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers with a mayonaise and sour cream dressing, cold fresh ocean shark, like white fish, so ,tender and tasty, and masses of gigantic wine colored cherries in season. DELISH. Vegetables taste like vegetables. Crunchy, tangy and sweet. I made them Pimm's with mint, cucunbers, oranges, apples, ice and lemonade. Refreshing in the heat. In 1906, my grandpa was 18, an. Young Russian army soldier. His name was David Laber. Your grandma Yetta's dad. He was in fact a passifist but joined the army. He had been a forrester. (cutting down trees) and heard you could get three meals a day in the army, free. So he joined up. One night he was on sentry duty. He heard a noise and shouted, "halt" the noise kept coming. He shouted "halt" again. His job was to guard the army camp. He had a rifle. He shot off his gun into the dark night. By mistake, he shot the Czar's horse, carrying the ruling Czar coming innocently, by carriage. They thought it was an assassination attempt. He was to be sent to Siberia so he ran to Italy, Canada, then to U.S. We are American because of a horse!! With love, your mum.
