Fellow psychodramatist:

As we did last year, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the ASGPP will be
going to the American Film Institute in Silver Spring for a
psychologically oriented film. On August 5, "Romulus, My Father" will
be showing at 7 pm. The AFI web site describes the film as follows:

Based on the critically acclaimed memoir of the same name, this heart-
wrenching drama follows Romulus (Eric Bana), a flawed yet deeply
committed father who struggles to raise his son in the face of his
wife's (Franka Potente) mental illness and neglectful ways. Set in
rural Australia, the film is an ode not only to a father who overcomes
insurmountable odds, but also to a nation and its breathtaking
landscapes.

A discussion will follow with Kenneth E. Towbin, M.D., Chief, Clinical
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, National Institute of Mental Health,
NIH.

Additionally, we will have further discussion afterwards. Please
RSVP. We may be able to get advanced tickets if you let us know you
will be joining us.
