Here is something I noticed - not sure the contact is still possible
but this is an interesting adaptation.
For information - and possible connections - even though it's past.

Description
Please take a minute to read through this invitation and to seriously
consider joining me for a few hours this weekend.

As many of you know, I (Esben Wilstrup) have been playing and
directing freeform roleplaying games for many years and I would love
to introduce this specific form of performance to the development
community (including our educators, therapists, actors, and
organizational consultants), because I believe it might help broaden
and advance our practice of performance in all our endavours.

This weekend (only), the Swedish freeform playwright and director
TOBIAS WRIGSTAD is visiting the East Side Institute, and has offered
to to run a number of roleplaying workshops for us! I have played
several of his games and deeply respect his work and his courage to
constantly challenge the norms for this type of performance - much
like the Castillo Theatre does it.

As participant in these workshops you will be introduced to freeform
roleplaying by playing one of Tobias' games together with the other
participants followed by a conversation about the experience and how
we can build with it in the community (See below for more info on
freeform roleplaying).

The workshops will take place at the East Side Institute at the
following times:
Saturday
10.00-2.00pm Roleplaying Workshop 1
4.00-7.00pm Roleplaying Workshop 2
Sunday:
10.00-1.00pm Roleplaying Workshop 3
Want to do this but can't make these times? Please let me know, and
I'll see if we can change the times to fit your needs. Also, Tobias
will also be at the Institute's Philm event Friday at 7-9pm and he's
eager to hear more about our work. I really want to you to get a
chance to experience this!

NB: Please RVSP to me as soon as possible by email or phone, even if
you can't make it! And please forward it to anyone you think might be
interested!

I really hope to see you in one of these workshops!

Well met,
Esben (718-844-0283)

FREEFORM ROLEPLAYING is a form of role-playing reminiscent of improv
theatre. Players take on one or more roles in the collaborative
telling of a story, that is acted out as on a stage, often guided by
a set of rules tailored to the story at hand. The goal of freeform
roleplaying is to tell stories or explore the potential or danger in
situations. Stories are generally not comical in nature, and
sometimes intentionally "close to home." The scene evolves through
scenarios performed at conventions written by community members or
collaboratively created by groups of players and new tools and
techniques for story telling are actively researched in a similar
fashion.
