giving & getting recognition

Dear Colleagues, 
   It has occurred to me that the process of giving and getting recognition has a good deal of overlap with certain dynamics described within the field of sociometry. I've been thinking and writing about this today and wonder if any of you would be interested in reading a few pages and commenting, as I could use some feedback in shaping the article further for posting on my website.
