pife conference in Lithuania

This is the kind of poor advertising that has come to be typical in our field. For a group that is supposed to "think sociometrically," some basic elements of marketing seem to be missing.
     For example:

Not to brag, but I have made a concerted effort to support and encourage and inquire into the nature of psychodrama internationally and have been doing this for ten -- perhaps almost 18 -- years. Has anyone else been active this way? Michael Wieser, perhaps. I've emailed, asked questions, put out the only international directory ever printed (in the 1997 edition of Acting In published in England), and post an international news webpage. In spite of my having been disappointed a thousand times with the relative lack of reciprocity---some respond, but more often than not people don't reply--- I was a little shocked and saddened at this email.
With great respect for John in Australia, I am wondering why I hadn't heard of this? Also, why hadn't this announcement gone out in, say, September, rather than February?
And (for those planning to do conferences), it is wiser to prepare an announcement in actual text form that can be accessed on a computer rather than to rely only on the printed form and .pdf format which cannot easily be translated into text.
Some sophistication regarding the marketing of a conference, then, is part of a kind of group dynamics know-how. Role reversing with an eager student in some small town--- what do they need to know, and when?
This is a rant, yes, a gentle one, but it speaks to the need to think about such issues as letting people know where and when the next conference of this or that organization will be. If a person might want to present, letting that person know in plenty of time to prepare a proposal. (Very often in the last 30 years I have encountered international conferences where the program was fixed by the time I got the message. And as I say, if it happens to me, it probably happens even more---that sense of "too late"-- to many others.

          Anyway, here's the information:
For October 9 -13, 2009: An international conference. In English and Lithuanian.

www.pife-europe.eu .workshop proposals due 11/30 but has been obviously extended to March. email to vilniuspsychodrama2009 at gmail.com
or perhaps www.psichodrama.lt or infor at psichodrama.lt (that's LT for lithuania, not i t for italy) or Albina Kepalaite <albis2002 at yahoo.com>

I'm gonna want to email these folks, too. Warmly, Adam Blatner
