Dear Adam et al: Is this something that could go to the Archives? I wonder
if there is a way the organization could arrange with Heldref to donate them
to our archives and take a tax write-off? If not, I wonder if everyone who
is a member of the ASGPP would donate $2 if that would cover the costs and
then the whole set could go to the archives? Just thinking out loud
here...Linda Ciotola

Dear All,
Here's an opportunity for some service to the psychodrama community and
possibly a
small profit for your work: Our erstwhile journal publisher, Heldref, who
has dropped us
from their publishing line, has a residue of several fairly full sets of the
Journal of
Group Psychotherapy, Psychodrama & Sociometry---especially in its earlier
incarnation as
Moreno's Group Psychotherapy journal, title changed a few times in subtle
ways in the
1970s---to Group Psychotherapy & Psychodrama, etc.
Each set contains around 60 years of (on average) 3.5 issues / year or
220 copies per
set.
They would like to sell the whole shebang---not one set at a time.
At present, we have a couple of people who have approached them with an
offer of about
$1000 / set. I've pressed Heldref people and they replied as above.
I'm fairly caught up with other challenges and would prefer not to
broker this
exchange, as it would involve shipping costs and re-mailing, etc. Or you
could work it out
with the folks at Heldref directly.
If it doesn't work out, the book sets may be I don't know what,
tossed out? given
to libraries? But I think a number of you might enjoy having a more
complete library.
Please help! Sincerely, Adam, who will be glad to help you network
with the key
players, but not do the work.
Warmly, Adam Blatner
