Hi Dario, how to interpret your question? The galaxy in question was named by astronomers who probably were not from Texas : "sombrero" galaxy, so the name for the alien from there took off from that name.
Was I politically incorrect in doing so?
It has not impressed me that Texans actually do use Latinos as an object for humor.
Rather, there is a rivalry between U. Texas (the Longhorns or "T-sippers" (T being a logogram for a longhorn steer's head) and the Texas A&M College "Aggies," so people make "Aggie" Jokes.
              Warmly, Adam

Help me to understand why Texans always seem to use Latinos (Mexicans) for their humor?

(Responding to the item below, the photograph of the Yes, yes. Sombrero Galaxy. Yeah, I know someone from there, fellow named Pedro. That’s his joking name—it’s really quite un-pronounceable—but was communicated to me from his translation-telepathy gizmo. He was here on a visit—you know those flying saucer sightings?--- and we were chatting about the whole shebang. ... in response to Ed Schreiber sending this item showing a picture of The Sombrero Galaxy - 28 million light years from Earth - was voted best picture taken by the Hubble telescope.

The dimensions of the galaxy, officially called M104, are as spectacular as its appearance.

It has 800 billion suns and is 50,000 light years across.
