"Talking about" what happened is very different than bringing an issue into the present and engaging the whole person in the moment. Participants in this workshop will learn and practice a variety of action techniques including:

                          a.. Concretization and Maximization
                          a.. Role Playing
                          a.. Doubling
                        These psychodramatic skills enliven your therapy sessions and give you useful tools to help your clients uncover and express feelings in a safe way, heal old wounds and develop more satisfying roles in their lives.

The Psychodramatic method allows for family members to identify stuck patterns, express thoughts and feelings in a safe manner, put their strengths and yearnings into action, and ultimately be able to role reverse with one another as they find a path to new and more satisfying choices.

                        Certification and Continuing Education Units (CEUs)


                        All HVPI workshops offer credit towards national certification by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama and Group Psychotherapy and can be counted toward Drama Therapy Registration. The Continuing Education Units (CEUs) provided by most of these trainings are accepted toward national credentialing by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), the National Board of Certified Counselors, and towards re-certification by the National Registry of Group Psychotherapists. MFT, CSW and Drama Therapy CEUs are pending. Contact HVPI for details.
