pervasive illusions

A year or so ago I wrote a paper for my website titled "the inner brat," describing 10 illusions that children naturally develop, but then, ideally, should grow beyond, mature out of. Alas, many adults continue to carry these illusions as part of their core beliefs, although they tend to be unconscious-or at least they don't immediately generate the cognitive dissonance they richly deserve: "Hey, that is a really, really, UN-realistic expectation!"
I've begun to form two other papers, the inner twerp, and the inner jerk, speaking of more complex yet equally pervasive sets of illusions that are developed in the cognitive apparatus of people in (respectively) their teens and their young through-middle adulthood. I would welcome your input.
