The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) College of Education,
Department of Counseling, Adult and Rehabilitation Education (CARE)
invite applications for an assistant/associate professor position in
counselor education, req #597. Deadline for applications is October
15, 2008, with the position starting January 5, 2009. Summer
employment is possible dependent on program need and University
resources.

The Counselor Education program curriculum reflects the standards
required by NCATE and CACREP. Responsibilities include teaching
courses in the Counselor Education master's program, providing
supervision to interns, participation in university and college
committees, curriculum development, participation in the
implementation of the program strategic plan; demonstration of
scholarship/research; development of university/school partnerships;
service to the community, university, and professional organizations.
The position may include serving as the program coordinator.

A Doctorate from an accredited institution in Counselor Education and
Supervision or closely related degree with experience in school
counseling (PK-12) is required. An ABD may be considered, though
degree must be completed by position start date of Spring semester
2009. Preferred; familiarity with CACREP standards, graduate from a
CACREP program, membership in ACA and ACES, experience with ethnically
and culturally diverse populations, strong interpersonal skills,
experience with current technology, knowledgeable in national trends,
experience in scholarly activities. For more information abou the
