Midwest Training Series begins 4th year in Racine, Wis.

Professional Training Oct. 24 Begins Fourth Year of Midwest Training Series

 

"Keeping It Concrete: Fresh Ideas To Integrate Action And Talk" will be the
first of a series of professional trainings as the fourth year of the
Midwest Training series begins on  Friday, Oct. 24, at Lake House Health &
Learning Center, 932 Lake Ave., Racine, Wis.

 
Experiential techniques promise to enliven assessment interviews, group and
individual therapy, coaching and classroom settings. They promise that
boring content go easier - or by contrast, enable people to give issues more
serious or deeper consideration. In this workshop, with Karen Carnabucci,
MSS, LCSW, TEP, you will learn:

 

*	Simple and yet effective ways to enliven therapeutic situations,
including the use of props. 
*	How to assess an individual or group with action techniques, rather
than simply talking. 
*	How to identify the readiness of clients to take action. 
*	Improvisational ways to deepen a person's experience of self, the
issue and possible solutions. 

The program is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, with three continuing
education and psychodrama hours, as well as continuing education credits for
social workers, addictions counselors and licensed professional counselors.

Tuition 

Tuition is $35 for this program. Handouts, tea, coffee and spring water will
