 Though I am aware that our grouptalk is not a forum for political action., it is a place where wonderful minds visit. And time is of essence. We need all the spontaneity and creativity we can gather to bring about change!
 Plus   here IS an opportunity  for us to unite,where we can: in our mind.

Please consider this:



With less than one month to go before this monumental election, it’s time to
corral and unleash the power of our collective creative
energies and help put Barack Obama in the White House. 

 

With an open mind and heart, please consider the following: There
was a well documented experiment in which a group of Buddhist monks meditated
for peace in Washington DC during a particular summer, and the crime rate
dropped considerably and inexplicably. Naturally,   it picked up
again once the meditation stopped. You can probably guess where this is
going.... 

 

The plan is simple!  Visualize, visualize, and visualize
Barack Obama as our new president. 

 

Here are some of suggested visualizations:   Seeing the electoral map of the
USA as completely BLUE on election night; picturing President Obama on the
steps of the Capitol Building in January ’09 giving his inaugural address to a
wildly joyous crowd; practicing saying President Obama. As we hear it, see it
and feel it in our bodies - so it will be!  

 

Practice whenever you can, but particularly during transitional
moments, i.e. as you enter and exit places, wait for traffic light to
change, for the computer to start, at the checkout counter, on the subway platform,
at the playground watching your kids, whenever you remember,  and always
when thoughts of fear or anger enter your mind. As you engage these
visualizations, your mind will experience them as REAL.   We know
from Quantum Physics that reality is a  reflection of our thoughts and
feelings. 

   

Yes, let's discipline our minds to think positively and create
the change we want to effect. Believing is a Force!

 

On election day make sure to continue visualizing the electoral map
BLUE until the winner is announced: Barack Obama, the president of USA .

 

Please forward this appeal to as many people as you can. We need a
critical mass of collective, positive energy to ensure that  Barack
Obama wins the 2008 election.
