I found this line your last email eye-catching:

The way I see it and experience it, and the way I form language to  
describe this- and the theories I see a similarity with, a mirror of  
this for my own thinking suggests that it's not "an ego that  
coordinates all the different selves".  I experience something in  
addition to the ego; a power, an intelligence, a Force, - we all feel  
this within us - it emerges in groups - it is not ego.
