What is Real?

Ed,
I just do not buy the notion that subjectivity is real and objective reality is  not.  
 There is no such a thing as objective reality: all we  know about reality is through your senses!!!I It so happens that we are endowed with similar senses,what we experience through

 them is what we call "reality",but it is no  reflection on  "REALITY", but rather on what we experience with our senses.

Change your organs of reception  -and what will you get?

Needless to say that does not solve your Uncle's existential predicament. About that I feel  really sorry.
