Dear All, in anticipation of the research seminar in psychodrama to be held in Glasgow, please let me once again encourage the community to pursue some increased networking---towards greater tele and group cohesion---through increased self-disclosure. As yet I don't know if there is a summary of historical and recent developments in psychodrama in any published form in a journal or on the internet on a website. There should be. I have tried to achieve this on my website: http://www.blatner.com/adam/pdntbk/internatnews.htm ... but it's partial because many people have been too busy to report in.
Also we should attempt to have a photo directory so we can gain face recognition of each other and of the various leaders and active participants in our field. Again, I've attempted this on my website: http://www.blatner.com/adam/pdirec/index.htm ... but I welcome your sending me a photograph of yourself to post, along with a 40-70 word caption---a brief summary so that readers can get a sense of your interests.
I would very much like you to feel free to edit this, or translate it into your language, and send it to other psychodramatists in your social network.
Another complement to the world of research in psychodrama includes history, as I said: What about an update as to what books, articles, translations of books, conferences, sizes of your national organization's membership, sizes of institute classes, etc. is happening in your country? For examples... again look at the aforementioned website.
Finally, I try to keep up with announcements and will post the information about the research committee (RC) conference on my website http://www.blatner.com/adam/pdntbk/announc.html
By the way, I invite you and all your colleagues to check out my website as there are scores of papers about psychodrama and sociometry as well as about other topics in psychotherapy and psychology: http://www.blatner.com/adam/papers.html
Thanks for your attention. Some of you I have met at international conferences in 1992, 1994, 1998, or 2004, but others I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting. Again, your email correspondence is welcome. Warmly, Adam Blatner
