Internal Family Systems Therapy, developed by Richard Schwartz in the 1980s, also draws on a pluralistic model of the mind, as does role theory. Schwartz calls these sub-personalities, though at times I've questioned the semantics of the term, preferring roles.
How many of you know about this related approach, which has several hundred trained practitioners (at least) in the USA and many others internationally?
Sally Stepath (now in Oregon) has been somewhat associated with this approach and I've encouraged her to write up how she sees it overlapping with psychodrama, perhaps being potentially enriched by Morenian concepts and techniques, and in turn, perhaps enriching our theories and methods.
